Dallas County Republican Party chair Jonathan Neerman, whose Q&A with the editorial board at The News can be read in yesterday’s Points section, confirmed rumors that he’s considering a run against Democrat Allen Vaught for Texas House District 107.

“I’ve heard the same rumors,” he tells Unfair Park. “I’m looking at it, but I’m also trying to find the best candidate.”

As Neerman told us in December, he planned on battling Vaught in 2008 until he found out that his friend Bill Keffer, who in 2006 lost his seat to Vaught by 1,109 votes, wanted to give it another try. In another close race, Keffer lost in ’08 by 1,758 votes.
