On Saturday, Teresa Gubbins at Pegasus News posted that the Dallas Bicycle Café on Northwest Highway is closed. Owner Armando Guerrero, who makes his real money in construction, is taking on a big project in Mexico.

On May 12, Guerrero posted on his Facebook page that the spot is for sale. No word on any takers yet. According to Gubbins, the doors have been locked for more than a week.

Back in April, Cheap Bastard discovered the sweaty-spandex goodness of Bicycle Café, which forced her to eat healthy and begrudgingly enjoy it. Possibly her Food Iron Man training, “2-mile whiskey swim, 100-mile bacon-doughnut ride, 26-mile beer run,” will get back on track now.

If you’ve always dreamed of owning a bicycle-themed restaurant, here’s your opening.
