Three weeks ago, we took a look at the trailer for You+Dallas’s five-part webdoc about Jared Williams, who was 14 on October 1, 2009, when the Pinkston freshman was paralyzed from the waist down in a varsity football game against North Dallas High. The series, as you may recall, is about how Jared’s injury rallied a community and inspired a movement. But this morning the first part of the series titled Project 24 makes its bow — its subtitle, “Episode One: The Accident.” And we see how, in that single play and in a split second, everything changed for both Jared and his mother.
