Irving law-enforcement officials’ fondness for the Criminal Alien Program — or, if you like, Criminal Alien Programme, fancy — makes it into the latest issue of The Economist, under the headline: “Not welcome here.”
You’re welcome to read the brief piece, which even makes mention of Carlos Quintanilla’s arrest last month for traffic violations. But let’s skip ahead to the last paragraph: “Understandably, people who are frustrated by federal inaction on immigration may turn to local initiatives.
