I headed out to Arlington this morning for a detailed tour of Cowboys Stadium, the guts of which I’ll pour into a Dallas Observer cover story on Sept. 10. While I’m there, obviously, I’ll get some answers and insights into the video boards.
I heard owner Jerry Jones on 105.3 The Fan yesterday still bristling and decreeing that JumboJerry won’t budge an inch.
We’ve spent tons and tons of time, lot of time, and lots of research in to where and how balls go. And I think the key is that in a competitive situation, we’ll be fine. I’m not saying the ball won’t hit sometimes up there, but it should be fine.

I think the scoreboard – I say scoreboard. Eventually the monstrosity will display the game clock and stats, right? – has to be adjusted.
But I also think it’s amazing that in a week in which convicted dog-killer Michael Vick plays his first game as an Eagle, the NFL world is breathless over one of Jerry’s toys.
