No, your Dallas Cowboys still don’t have a head coach. But I’m sticking with my initial prediction, which sounded solid on January 11 and feels stronger than ever today.
Being that this is Super Bowl week and all, may I suggest some required viewing while we taps our toes and anxiously await Jerry Jones’ decision? First, if you missed Babe Laufenberg’s exclusive interview with Tony Romo last night on KTVT-Channel 11, play catch-up here. Not only is Romo, as predicted, not suicidal, he’s planning to be the NFC’s holder at next week’s Pro Bowl in Hawaii.

If you’re not ready for the Cowboys’ present or future, plenty of options to latch onto their past. On this week’s Real Sports on HBO, Bryant Gumbel and gang echo my recent column in the paper version of Unfair Park, in which I touted Michael Irvin for the Hall of Fame.
And, if you really want the blue-star warm-and-fuzzies, check out NFL Network’s amazing series, America’s Game. We all know the Cowboys’ Super Bowl champs from 1971, ’77 and ’92. But with deliciously rare footage from NFL Films and revealing narratives from players such as Duane Thomas, Thomas “Hollywood” Henderson and Jimmy Johnson, I guarantee you’ll learn something new about each team. The ’92 Cowboys, by the way, will be honored as the fifth greatest Super Bowl champ of all time when its special airs Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. And, yes, both of Bill Parcells’ Giants teams cracked the all-time Top 20.
