Below, a Friend of Unfair Park wonders if perhaps Newy’s new friends up on “Weed Rock” were to blame for the Rangers committing four errors last night: “Would this constitute fan interference if players were affected from inhaling second-hand smoke?” Not a bad question, turns out, since this morning’s New York Post notes that Josh Hamilton noticed a “sweet smell” coming from the AT&T Park stands. And he was, well, surprised by that.

“I could smell weed in the outfield,” Hamilton said. “It was crazy. I was looking at the cops a couple of times during the game.”
