For a long time, each of the Observer’s online sections has had its own Facebook page except for the news section, or what was once called Unfair Park, may it rest in peace. News restricted itself to the Observer’s main page, drawing weird looks from those who came for the food section’s food porn du jour and ended up seeing something about jugglers under overpasses.
That stops now. Starting today, or Monday if you happened to be paying really close attention, the Observer news section has its own Facebook page. I’ll be on there daily, posting the best stuff on the city of Dallas anywhere: Jim Schutze’s inside peek at City Hall, Eric Nicholson’s fantastic coverage of Dallas ISD and the city’s homeless, and whatever scandalous behavior from elected officials that Christian McPhate’s dug up this week.
Sometime this week, we’ll be starting a new Twitter feed, too, and we’ll post information about that on the Facebook page. Ah, synergy.
