White Light Fever.
Mickey Branton, bassist for local psychedelic rock act White Light Fever, tells us the band has completed their second effort and is preparing for an onslaught of summer performances. Count All Your Father’s Wealth is set for release in late June and the band members have been working around each other’s schedules in order to integrate the new songs into the set list.
The only thing holding the band back is vocalist/guitarist Danny Billingsly’s age.
“We are currently working around Danny’s schedule, as he is only 18 and currently in college,” Branton says. “The other two of us are in our mid-20s and work full-time.”

All three guys, however, are excited about the new direction the band has pursued on its upcoming effort. “It is more complex and diverse from our last record Heavy Knife Blues,” Branton says. “We would like to play a lot in the DFW area, but also get outside the metroplex and play a few shows in Austin and maybe Oklahoma too.” –Darryl Smyers
