If all continues to shake out as they have been for the past few days, Billboard believes The Jonas Brothers’ this week-released album, Lines, Vines and Trying Times, will debut at the top of its album chart next week with a total of 275,000 to 300,000 units moved in the first week of sales. It will be the band’s second No. 1 album in as many tries, which is impressive, but more impressive once you realize that it’s also the band’s second No. 1 this year.
Still, oddly enough, it’s not really a huge surprise at all, as the JoBros have the Disney machine behind them–and pretty much every media outlet out there, too: tonight, the Brohams will appear on CNN’s Larry King Live; tomorrow morning, they’ll perform on NBC’s Today; and, lest we forget, Saturday’s the band’s big tour-opening show at Cowboys Stadium.
Which is all fine and good, but I’m burying the lead here: Mercifully, the Jonas’ taking over the top slot means that it no longer belongs to the Black Eyed Peas. Boom boom POW!
