At 7 o’clock tonight, The Cavern will host it’s either 11th or 12th anniversary (Spune productions booking agent Lance Yocum isn’t sure) by hosting a free night of performances in its notoriously not-so-cavernous space.
The line-up (Eric Tipton, The Campaign, and Odis play downstairs as the usual Monday-night Cool Out crew tends to the upstairs space) might not wow you, but the fact that its free is a nice touch. Plus, if you get to the venue early enough, you’ll get treated to free food from the venue’s neighboring restaurant, Daddy Jacks. And that’s pretty cool.
Oh, and so is this: Yocum hears the French Kicks might be stopping by afterward to either play a short set or to DJ the early morning hours.
“As far as I know,” he says. —Pete Freedman
