OK, so, admittedly, we’re a little behind on this note (been busy with our own coverage, sorry), but it still bears mentioning: Both Sarah Jaffe and Neon Indian found themselves earning positive reviews over the weekend as part of Rolling Stone‘s blog coverage of the Austin City Limits Music Festival–in the same wrap-up of Saturday’s shows, no less.

In short: Jaffe’s vocals are “gentle” and determined, with music that serves as a “perfect complement”; Neon Indian, meanwhile, showcases just a little “sleaze,” and sounds like a “chopped-and-screwed version of New Order.”

No arguments from this standpoint.
