BET’s “Rap City” comes on at 4 in the afternoon in this here time zone, which means that in, oh, about five minutes or so, you can flip on your cable box and see Dallas’ own Play-N-Skillz appearing on the show. (Sorry for the late notice, but we just heard.)

Anyway, this is just step one in another big week for the half-Venezuelan, half-Mexican brothers behind Chamillionaire’s “Ridin'” and Lil Wayne’s “Got Money.” All throughout the upcoming weekend, the duo will be hosting its 2nd Annual Play-N-Skillz All-Star Weekend.

What’s that, you ask? Oh, just a weekend full of parties at various spots throughout town that will feature the likes of Lil Wayne, Bun B, Plies, Bone Thugs and Harmony, Talib Kweli, and various NFL and NBA stars. Nothing big. —Pete Freedman
