Congratulations are in order for Dallas-based production duo Play-N-Skillz, whose work on Lil Wayne’s “Got Money” was honored, along with 12 other 2008 rap songs, as the tops in its genre at this year’s ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards on Friday night.
Granted, it was just one of four songs from Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter III to earn the same honor, but, either way, a nice nod.
Tweeted the brothers Salinas after their win: “thank u lord for our blessings its never promised..latinos stand up ..more hardware for the crib”
