Maybe you know DJ Z-Trip. Maybe you don’t. He’s a pretty big deal on the touring DJ circuit, though. Know that.
And he got himself fairly involved in the election, throwing various “Party for Change” events across the country alongside Shepard Fairey–the guy responsible for this image, which we lampooned yesterday over on Unfair Park. And at said parties, Z-Trip took a break from his normal dance party mixing to do something a little more political. Which brings us to this free download: Z-Trip’s almost 55 minute-long “Obama Mix”, a live soundboard recording of his “Party for Change” mix.
It’s a pretty awesome listen, especially today.
Oh, and for those of you looking for a local angle, check this: Z-Trip will be in town on Tuesday, November 11, at the House of Blues for the Bacardi Live Tour. Common sense dictates that he’ll be spinning more dance party than political stuff at the event, but you never know for sure, I guess…
