And it’s notable because, this season, the show’s sixth, is the first one to take place on network television. Unlike previous seasons of the country music singing competition show (basically American Idol for the cowboy hat set), which were broadcast on the cable USA network, this year’s competition was shown on NBC.

With the win, the mother of five (seen above, singing Sugarland‘s “Something More”) gets a new car and a recording contract with Warner Bros. Nashville.
