Last season, area American Idol fans desperate for some sort of personal connection to a contestant were able to toss their hats into the ring of support for Rockwall’s Jason Castro, who went on to finish fourth in the seventh season of the reality-based talent competition.
Well, thing’s ain’t all that different now in season eight, which premiered earlier this week. How so?
Well, among the contestants who made it through the first round of competition already: Castro’s younger brother, Michael, which MTV thinks is, like, a totally awesome coincidence, and, OMG, did you see his hair and how he kinda looks like Jason, but with more of an emo look than Jason’s hippie vibe?
Oh, and Jason thinks it’s pretty cool, too, telling MTV: “I’ve never heard him sing in real life.”
