On Oct. 28, the Michelin Guide held a fancy ceremony in Houston to announce its updated guide for 2025. We’ve already reported on the Dallas restaurants that received distinctions, from stars to recommendations.

There are now 18 Michelin-starred restaurants in Texas, including three new ones, one of which is the newly opened Mamani in Dallas. The guide notes the “well-appointed hotspot,” where “Chef Christophe De Lellis brings an impressive pedigree to Dallas, having led the kitchen at Vegas’s Restaurant Joël Robuchon for nearly a decade.”

Vegas doesn’t have a Michelin Guide. A year ago, Dallas chef RJ Yoakum, previously at Georgie, predicted that having the guide would attract high-end talent from other states. Notch one on his scorecard.

There’s not a single two-star or three-star restaurant in Texas.
