It started as Texas Frightmare Weekend: Three days of horror flicks at the DFW Alamo Drafthouse alongside celebrity appearances by the likes of filmmakers, writers, make-up artists and stars. Then, it grew to an entire week of screenings, panels and opportunities to meet everyone from the original Creature from the Black Lagoon to George Romero.
That’s right, THE George Romero will be in town at the end of this month. He’ll be in attendance at the screenings of Dawn of the Dead at 7:35 and 8:15 p.m. on May 1, with the entire cast of zombies tagging along.
Earlier today, Alamo Drafhouse announced via their Facebook the addition of a Terminator double feature, with a bevy of the films’ stars, including Linda Hamilton and Robert Patrick. Get your cyborg ass online and buy your tickets now for this gem of a screening at 7 p.m. April 29 before it sells out.
Officially, Texas Frightmare Weekend, in association with Fangoria, takes place May 2-4. Unofficially, Texas Frightmare Week kicks off April 27. For a full list of guests visit, texasfrightmareweekend.com.
