We didn’t bother mentioning anything about it back when AC/DC’s current U.S. tour was first announced–we’re not really in the business of telling about the shows that aren’t coming through town–but we did find it a bit sketchy that the rock gods decided to hit up both San Antone and Houston and not us.
Well, consider that mistake remedied today. Along with the announcement of some new AC/DC branded Rock Band 2 expansion pack, the group today announced that it would be extending its U.S. tour into early 2009. And, yep, that includes a Dallas stop on January 23 at American Airlines Center.
Tickets go on sale on Saturday, Oct. 4, through Ticketmaster, and, really, if you want in, you’d best get yer tix early on. All 18 of the band’s initially announced tour stops sold out well in advance of their performances.
In other news, the band also has a new disc due out on Oct. 21. But, c’mon, you’ll be heading to the AAC for “Thunderstruck” and such, not for the new stuff. —Pete Freedman
