Weird news out of Forever the Sickest Kids camp this week, as the band has been forced to cancel a string of shows because… um, well, this is a little awkward… ok, let’s just say it… because guitarist Marc Stewart caught the swine flu.

Stop laughing, guys, this is serious. Not some unfortunate pun to make with the band’s name. None of that. It’s not even April Fools Day.

Reached out to band management yesterday afternoon and turns out, it’s quite the unfortunate deal: The six-piece band was forced to drop off a bunch of bills, have its tour bus has to be completely cleaned (multiple times, actually), and, basically, suspend all operations until Stewart’s symptoms show signs of improving.

The good news: They are getting better. As of yesterday, it looked like the band was going to be able to go through with its next gig, a stop in Oklahoma City.

Here’s wishing Stewart a speedy recovery.
