This ain’t no video game. Wednesday, June 23rd at the Loft in Dallas, Rock Star Karaoke brought out the shy singers (no Rhett Miller this time) to the stage–backed by real lights and a real band.
Judges this week were Reid Robinson from KNON’s Sonic Assembly, Charming Garden’s Amy Curnow and KERA commentator Rawlins Gilliland . Contest prizes were $50 for first place, $30 for second place, and $20 for 3rd place. First place went to Ameila, the singer selling it good in photo one. Oh, and the new song of the week was Brass In Pocket by The Pretenders…
