I’d say that Saturday’s Dine Around Uptown was a success. And of course, I define success as a solid buzz peppered with bites of delightful food and a celebrity sighting (Paula Deen popped out of a limo at ZaZa), all while being whisked from place to place by paid DDs.

The North Texas Food Bank defines success in meals, as in meals provided by the donations made by people like you and me. Last year, that number was more than 47 million.

Saturday’s event was hosted by the North Texas Food Bank’s Roundtable group, which helps bring young, professional, would-be philanthropists into the food bank’s fold. Here’s a bit of what was poured and served at Dine Around Uptown.

The progressive event began at Private Social, went next to Dee Lincoln’s Bubble Bar, and finally to Dragonfly at Hotel ZaZa.
