Been a long time since I came to you with good Cowboys’ news, but I just received this email from the team:
The Dallas Cowboys announced the release of cornerback Adam Jones today. The transaction will be made official on February 9th which is the first day that NFL clubs are allowed to make waiver requests.

Maybe it was Jivin’ at the Joule. Maybe it was, after all that training-camp ruckus, that he couldn’t catch a punt, much less return a friggin’ kick. Or perhaps it was his infamous horse-collar/late hit/fumbled kickoff return that cost the Cowboys 10 points just before halftime in their season-ending debacle in Philadelphia.
Whichever, on Jones’ Cowboys’ tombstone: 0 interceptions. 1 suspension.
Not surprising at all. But, regardless, good riddance I say to both Adam and Pacman. Actually, I’ve been saying it for a while now.
One problem down, 99 to go.
