Was catching up on some NBA last week and could’ve sworn I saw:
*Jason Kidd make two crucial 3-pointers in the final minutes of a Mavs’ win over the Pacers.
*Devin Harris swish a late triple to force overtime of a Nets’ win in Sacramento, a couple nights before he went off for a career-high 47 points in a win against the Suns.
Maybe Mark Cuban was right when he recently called last year’s controversial Kidd-for-Harris trade a “win-win.”

No doubt, at least through 16 games, that the point guards have been their teams’ best players.
Kidd has fueled Dallas’ recent surge to .500 – which should distance itself from mediocrity during a 7-game homestand starting tonight against the Clippers – by pushing the pace and ranking third in the NBA in assists. Meanwhile, Harris has snared the reins in Jersey as the league’s fourth-leading scoring at 25.3 points per game. Channeling his speed into aggressive drives to the hoop, Harris leads the league with 9.7 made free throws per game.
I still wouldn’t have done the deal. You?
But one thing’s for sure. Considering how he couldn’t get points out
of Harris or assists out of Kidd, the big loser if the point guards
